Wyoming is a state located in the western mountain region of the United States. It is the 10th largest state at 97,818 square miles, however it is the least populated with only a little over 585,500 residents. The majority of the western part of the state is covered by mountain ranges and rangelands of the Rocky Mountains, while the eastern high level prairie otherwise knowns as the High Plains.
